Welcome to my stop on the Anniversary Blog Tour! This is stop # 28. Your prior stop should have been #27, the blog of author, Christine London.
I wasn’t sure what I was going to write about today, but last night it came to me at about one o’clock in the morning. Nothing like waiting until the last minute! I decided to talk about a couple of the settings in my books and share pictures of those places.
Falling for Autumn takes place entirely in New Jersey. One of the locations I used in the book is the beautiful Manasquan Reservoir. My husband and I try to walk the trail at least once a week. I used this setting a couple of times in the book, but one scene in particular shows Jack running around the perimeter. Scattered around the reservoir are groups of dead trees. Aside from the Bald Eagle’s nest, they’re my favorite things to see when we’re there. Autumn also has a scene in the parking lot. She’s walking her dog back to the car when she sees Jack with another woman. However, the woman is really Jack’s brother who’s going through a gender change. His name is Mark and I adore him!

I’m currently working on the final edits for Crazy Days of Summer, book two in the Sisters for All Seasons trilogy, which will be available in September. I can’t wait! Summer’s story takes place in California and New Jersey. The NJ portion of the story is set in Belmar. It’s about 15 minutes from where I live. My children are there all the time. It’s a beautiful beach and very peaceful because there aren’t any arcades or rides on the boardwalk. There isn’t a shortage of teenagers though! They flock there, and one cast member from The Jersey Shore was actually discovered in a Belmar club. Thankfully, they film the show in Seaside Heights. I spent my childhood summers in Seaside Heights, but it’s too busy for me now. I love the shore, but admit now that I’m (cough cough) older, I prefer to sit on the beach and just chill out.

So after telling you a bit about the settings, I’m curious to know if a certain region makes you more or less likely to buy a book. I like real places, but realize the author sometimes has to sprinkle fictional things in there. I chose an actual house for Daisy (Summer’s mom), but changed the street blocks it’s set between. I also made up a café that doesn’t exist.
Well that’s it for my stop. I hope you enjoyed it! I’m giving away an e-book copy of either Falling for Autumn or Circle of Eternity. It will be the winner’s choice! To win, I’m going to have you play a guessing game. It’s a multiple choice question. I’d like you to include your answer with your comment. I will then take all the correct answers and do a random drawing.
The question is: How long is the perimeter trail around the Manasquan Reservoir?
a. Four miles
b. Five miles
c. Six miles
The answer can also be found in Falling for Autumn! Good luck!
